Z Demo via DOSBox: No Explosion-/Vehicle-Sounds

Hi all,

Z DOS Full Version works fine in DOSBox 0.73 and 0.74, all Sounds are played.

But when I try that, using the same DOSBOX-Settings, with the Z Demo, I only hear the Robots Talking and the Music, no Explosions or Vehicle Sounds. It does not matter which Language Version is used. I already tried copying the Sounds from the Full Version into the Demo`s Audio-Folder, but that didn`t help.
Can someone confirm that?

Is that a Bug in the Demo, is sth. missing, or is it a configuration Issue?
Or is there a way to get the Demo running with Z Expansion XP?

I would like to play that level (that`s not included in the final game, btw) again with ALL the Sounds...

I have just tried the Demo in DOSBox and can confirm the missing sound problem. I do not think this is a bug of DOSBox. The AUDIO folder of the demo seemingly only contains the robot talk files. This leads me to believe the Demo was designed to only use these files and it would not use the rest of the files even if you did copy them to this folder. Likewise copying the levels to the Demo will not allow you to play all levels.

Anyway, that sole Demo level is almost identical to level 6 with some slight changes. I think you could copy this level and play it in the full version.

Last time I checked, you can replace level 6 with other volcanic levels too (5 through 8 ) in the demo.
