Zed online 0.2.2 crashes after 30 seconds

I'm having trouble running single player. After exactly 30 seconds into gameplay, the game always crashes and closes itself down. Ive tried reinstalling the game but no change. I've tried running custom map games, but that too shuts down on the 30 second mark. I'm running Windows 10, and my laptop is capable of running most steam games. Any ideas?

I guess there are some graphics that are not loaded completely.
Could you update to version 0.2.3, start the game, check that the "thumbnails" folder is completely created and the start a singleplayer match?
Are you running the Windows or Linux version?
