I played it for the ipad, using touch put you at too much of a disadvantage when the original was already limited by how fast you could command your units. Also Kavcom seems to have suffered from the complete drop in interest in the game... Still no multiplayer update and no continual modifications ...

My guess is you are trying to connect to the main server and the main server is not running. Try running a local game instead.

I would have found a way to bring it to life in the Zod Engine however there were not enough of it's sprites available.

The only form of zoom is to use full screen and change the resolution... Not sure about the scrolling, are you in windowed mode?
