Re: Can a Vehicle Factory produce robots

Vehicle factory could never produce robots, only guns and vehicles.

Re: the junk yard

It's shaping out nicely.

For the Jeep, let's add a joystick trigger for controlling the gun. Conventionally, a second robot could use the gun manually from the back, although with limited turning radius.

Re: the junk yard

The Jeep leaps into the digital art dimension.

Speaking of robots, I'll have to get on designing a robot model next, so the Jeep can have a driver on the seat.

Re: the junk yard

At last, I got back to doing more concept art for my Z remake.

For starters, here's a digital redux of the tanks.

Re: the junk yard

I like the idea of a turret. Would also explain how the robots can fire in a 360 arc, despite the firing ports being on the sides of the vehicle.

Re: the junk yard

Maybe gun is automated too, or Jeep's dashboard has a joystick for controlling it.

What do you think the device on top of the APC is meant to be? A rangefinder?

Re: the junk yard

What do you mean? The Jeep was a one man vehicle in Z. Tanks on the other hand, though. A modern MBT requires at least 3 crew members to work, but the robots in Z can somehow drive a tank, fire its main gun, and fire a rifle from the top hatch simultaneously. I wonder how this could be handled in th...

I started doing sketches of what the vehicles would look like in my version of Z.

Re: the junk yard

I noticed something I haven't really paid attention to before. In the original Z PC version, vehicles actually had a unique camo colour scheme for each planet. https://preview.ibb.co/dsW2jc/jc.jpg Desert - Olive Volcanic - Dark green Arctic - Silver Jungle - Green City - Gray I wish Zod Engine had t...

Re: the junk yard

That looks handy. Could you actually make a game out of it? Any more progress done?

Re: The Fire Truck and Cargo Truck

If you're aiming to make the Fire Truck shoot flames, wouldn't it just be the same thing as a Pyro APC?

Maybe the Cargo Truck could appear as a prop in the vicinity of factories, and robots could optionally capture it to use as a getaway vehicle.

Re: the junk yard

Man, that is awesome! I've been imagining a 3D remake of Z, maybe with combined ideas from Steel Soldiers, but the gameplay style retained similar to the original. I've been trying to match real world counterparts for Z vehicles, and also thought that the Medium could be modeled after Russian tanks,...
